This time I have just stolen the title from the movie itself. Two years since my last post , seems I have lost my touch (whatever I had) totally. Lets start recouping and try build something.
Other day I watched this movie Eat,Pray n Love . Generally I have this sixth sense of a movie transpiring deep in my thoughts and resulting into something very meaningful. But this movie didn't , well for most of the movie it did but at one point it did not , We'll get to that.
The movie talks about people who are still discovering themselves , well it seemed more on purpose rather than being lost. The protagonist seemed to force herself to picture a life and make that happen.
The concept Eat,Pray n Love seems the perfect candy floss story.
So lets jump to the Eat part (:P my Favorite) , Food is the most sort after things and why not , Most of my posts have been chanting around poverty and basic essence. But today we stay a little aloof and imagine that everything in the world is close to perfect. The movie shows earnestly that food is an important part of our lives daily and more over it becomes special when you have more people to share it. We need to enjoy food , respect it and when life gives you chance to share it , do it.
Next , the Pray part, there is a good message that i could extract , the protagonist comes to see the female of whom she had only seen a picture . She came with an excitement of seeing her physically but all she finds is her teachings and followers. And I think this is what praying is about , we need to learn and feel the teachings for the ones passed on and joining our fraternity in all times. We don't need to go some place necessary. We can Pray from anywhere as long as we can feel it.
The Love part, the part where i parted with the movie ;).
At the start of the movie , it is shown that the protagonist divorces her husband and it is shown that the husband was never given a fair chance and he truly wanted her.
The movie goes on to show that life is about moving ahead but I want to state , if we cannot live in the past , we surely can learn from it.
I don't know whether it was my Indian culture or what , but the moment she goes with another guy she finds , something pricked in me ... how could she forget her ex husband ... why she didn't go back..... It was a very natural feeling ... seemed something like gutted in me ...
I know, it does sound a bit of over emotional but
can't we give someone a fair chance ??...
can't we compromise??
or we keep wandering till we find that perfect person ??...
what is perfection?? ...
is perfection happiness?? ....
Some questions that I'll always be haunted of ......

It is tough upon us, as shy creatures born into a transitional culture, where things are changing faster than ever before, and black and white merge ever deeper into gray.
ReplyDeleteI take comfort in these words by William Blake - " I must create a system or be enslaved by another mans; I will not reason and compare: my business is to create. ", hence creating a new culture, a newer system of knowledge, beauty and tolerance all around.
